BOSTON — Much of the health-related content about cholesterol on social media, in particular TikTok, is inaccurate, according to research presented at the American Society for Preventive Cardiology Congress on CVD Prevention.
Due to increasing use of social media to search for health-related content, researchers conducted a study that looked at the top videos on TikTok using the search terms #cholesterol and #highcholesterol.
