SAGINAW, MI — A Saginaw man is no longer charged with escaping from the local jail. However, he remains charged with running a drug house and bringing contraband into the facility when he surrendered after his brief sojourn.
Vinishion B. Fowlkes, 36, on Thursday, Aug. 7, appeared before Saginaw County District Judge A.T. Frank for a preliminary examination on a charge of escaping from jail while awaiting a felony trial. The charge is punishable by up to four years in prison and a $5,000 fine.
