ANN ARBOR – Michigan’s 2026 recruiting class entered Tuesday ranked No. 11 in the country, and one assistant coach has done most of the heavy lifting so far this cycle.

Defensive line coach Lou Esposito, listed as the primary recruiter for six of the Wolverines’ 22 commits, ranks third on 247Sports’ assistant coach recruiting rankings for this cycle. All six are either defensive lineman or edge rushers, and five rank inside the top 300 of the 247Sports Composite rankings.

Five-star edge Carter Meadows is the headliner , while lineman Titan Davis and edge Julian Walker are also among Michigan’s five highest-rated commits and top-150 prospects nationally.
