AMARILLO, Texas (KFDA) - Some Texas Panhandle libraries will receive grant funds for broadband infrastructure and facility improvements in 2025-2026.

The Texas State Library and Archives Commission (TSLAC) awarded over $4 million in grants to 37 different libraries across the state.

A news release states the Library Infrastructure Facility Improvement (LIFI) grants help fund improvements in internet connectivity, technology infrastructure, and ensure access to digital resources for library patrons.

The following libraries are among this year’s recipients:

Amarillo Public Library

Friona Public Library

Hutchinson County Library
