AMARILLO, Texas (KFDA) - A check for more than $7,700 was presented to the High Plains Food Bank (HPFB) today as part of McDonald’s Gives Back Day.
HPFB Executive Director Zack Wilson says this donation is a significant addition to help in their “Fill the Gap” campaign that the food bank launched in April.
Out of the $250,000 goal, this donation puts them over $220,000.
Wilson says they are grateful for the support McDonald’s continues to give.
“Over the many years that they not only, of course, want to give back monetarily, they understand what we do. They understand the neighbors that we help feed throughout the Panhandle and they want to be part of that,” said Wilson.
