A man was arrested for allegedly hitting a man in the head with a chair in Oxford.

According to police, the incident happened August 2nd. Officers responded to a call on South 18th Street. When they arrived, they spoke with the victim and transported him/her for medical care.

The victim is expected to make a full recovery.

After speaking with the victim and several witnesses, the suspect was identified as 36-year-old Edwin Oseguera, of Oxford. He was detained and taken into custody.

Osguera was charged with Aggravated Assault and was taken before a municipal court judge for his initial bond hearing.

A hold was placed on him by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement.
