Daily temporary lane closures are happening at State Routes 141 and 26 as the Tennessee Department of Transportation continues a road widening project at the Wilson and Trousdale County border.

TDOT spokesperson Erin Zeigler said the project will expand State Route 141 from two to four lanes to better connect the Wilson and Trousdale corridor.

What's the project?

In addition to road expansion, Zeigler said the project will add a center turn lane from Lover's Lane to the U.S. 70 Lebanon Bypass.

"This project will provide an improved alternative to the existing State Route 141/ U.S. 70 intersection, which experiences congestion within a compact roadway with minimal vehicle storage," Zeigler said in a statement via email.
