NATIONWIDE — DEMOCRATS FROM TEXAS’ STATE LEGISLATURE WHO FLED TO NEW YORK AND OTHER STATES as part of their boycott against a redistricting bill could be tracked down after the FBI was granted authorization to locate them, CBS News reported on Thursday, Aug. 7. U.S. Sen. John Cornyn, R-TX, asked FBI Director Kash Patel to intervene and return the lawmakers who walked out of the statehouse in Austin last week to prevent a quorum on a bill they said would disenfranchise constituents in diverse neighborhoods.
