The California Federation of Labor Unions endorsed Democrats’ efforts to call for a special election in November to redraw California’s congressional districts.

The influential group said it would spend several million dollars to support the effort, which is in response to Texas potentially redrawing its maps to boost GOP numbers in Congress at President Trump’s behest.
