SUMMIT COUNTY, Utah (ABC4) — A new rapidly growing fire is burning in Summit County, threatening structures and prompting evacuations of those on Forest Service land.

According to Utah Fire Info, the fire has been dubbed the Beulah Fire. It has currently burned an estimated 15 acres, about four miles east of Manner Lands and east of Mirror Lake Highway.

The fire is currently burning in a wilderness area and is threatening structures, though it is currently unclear what structures are being threatened or how many.

People recreating in the area have been asked to avoid the area as a safety precaution. Utah Fire Info also reports that a Department of Public Safety helicopter has been requested to help evacuate campers in the vicinity.
