REIDSVILLE — Police here have charged a 21-year-old local woman with voluntary manslaughter in the Tuesday stabbing death of a Greensboro woman on Summit Avenue, according to a news release from the Reidsville Police Department.

Ana Tonche-Garza is being held in the Rockingham County Detention Facility on a $1 million secured bond for the death of Brianna Best, 27, the release said.

Reidsville Police were called to the 800 block of Summit Avenue at roughly 5:37 p.m. after a report of a disturbance and found Best unresponsive, suffering from stab wounds, according to the release.

Parker was transported by EMS to a local hospital where she later died from her injuries.

Tonche-Garza is expected to appear in Rockingham County District Court on Aug. 20, the release said.
