ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) - Over the past eight weeks, Carrollton police have arrested more than 27 people as part of an effort to cut down on illegal guns and drugs in the area.
Investigators with the Aggressive Criminal Enforcement (ACE) Unit have searched 13 properties, which led to the recovery of 14 firearms — some of which were modified for automatic fire, police said.
Officers also found an assortment of drugs, including fentanyl, marijuana, methamphetamine, prescription pills, MDMA, powder cocaine and crack cocaine. Altogether, the substances’ street value was more than $100,000. (Carrollton Police Department)
