TRIGG COUNTY, Ky. (WSMV) - A Clarksville man has been charged with a DUI after a crash in Trigg County, Kentucky on Saturday morning, according to WKDZ Radio.

Amari Cross, 26, was reportedly driving westbound on I-24 when he ran off the road, hit cable barriers and an embankment.

WKDZ reports Cross told Trigg County deputies he had been drinking tequila in Nashville and that he was trying to drive home to Clarksville when the crash happened. Cross claimed he fell asleep and does not remember the drive.

Deputies found a glass pipe and marijuana in Cross’ vehicle, according to WKDZ.

Cross was arrested and charged with possession of marijuana, DUI, and first-degree criminal mischief.
