More than 200,000 names have been removed from voter rolls in Missouri so far this year. Sec. of State Denny Hoskins said that every name removed belonged to someone who either never was or is no longer eligible to vote in Missouri.
“That includes over 18,000 deceased voters and 2,000 felons,” Hoskins told Missourinet. “This is something that I take very seriously, removing ineligible voters off the voter rolls.”
Hoskins said those removed included non U.S. citizens, “that unfortunately are registered to vote here in the state of Missouri. We’ve been working with our counterparts, whether it’s local election authorities or ICE, to make sure that they are taken off the voter rolls as well.”
