ZAVALLA, Texas (KETK)-- The City of Zavalla has issued a boil water notice following a suspected tampering incident involving the city water tank.

On Thursday morning, the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) confirmed that all critical water quality testing has been completed, and no contaminants or health hazards have been found. In accordance with operating procedures, a few minor follow-up tests remain ongoing.

Although the water has been deemed safe to release back into public use, the city has issued a boil water notice while the remaining testing is finalized.
