GUN BARREL CITY, Texas (KETK) - In honor of Whataburger's 75th anniversary, a celebration was held at a location in Gun Barrel City.
The celebration took place at the restaurant all day long and during the event, hamburgers were offered to customers for 75 cents using the Whataburger app. Anniversary t-shirts and prizes were also provided and attendees had the opportunity to meet Whataguy, the Whataburger mascot.
As Whataburger continues to celebrate its 75th anniversary, the company will be offering a new commemorative cup every month. During August, each cup sold will go towards relief efforts in Central Texas following the devastating floods.
New commemorative cups will be sold at all Whataburger's all across Texas for $2.50 for the rest of this year.
