WOODINVILLE, Wash. — Mall-based teen accessories retailer Claire's has identified over a dozen locations it plans to close nationwide, one of which is in King County.

The Claire's store in the Woodinville Plaza will shutter along with 17 other locations across 13 states. Parent company of Claire's and Icing, Claire's U.S. included the store closure plans in a filing in U.S. Bankruptcy Court in Delaware on Wednesday. This marks the second time since 2018 that the company has filed for bankruptcy.

While the company says the majority of its retail stores will remain open while it "continues to explore all strategic alternatives," Claire's said it identified 18 stores ahead of the Aug. 6 bankruptcy filing it would close, filings show .
