PORT CHARLOTTE, Fla. ( WWSB ) - A 39-year-old man was arrested on multiple charges of lewd and lascivious behavior involving a female victim under the age of 16.

On Tuesday, Aug. 5, deputies responded to a Port Charlotte home after concerning text messages were discovered between a man and a juvenile female.

The texts were sexual in nature and included nude photographs of the victim.

The victim’s mother confronted the victim about the messages, who confirmed the activity.

The suspect, identified by detectives as 39-year-old Adam Franz, was a friend of the victim’s family, the sheriff’s office said in a news release.
