ROTTERDAM, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- A unique festival of lights is coming back to the Capital Region, made of 1,000 handmade Chinese lanterns. The Autumn Glow Festival kicks off on September 4 and continues through November 2.

The festival is held on Thursdays through Sundays from 6:30 p.m. to 10 p.m., with the last entry at 9 p.m. Tickets are $14.99 and can be purchased in advance online.

Autumn Glow allows guests to walk through dazzling lights and colors made of hand-painted silk cloth Chinese lanterns, lit by LED lights. The lanterns bring creatures of Chinese legends and myths to life, each display telling a story of its own.

In addition to the displays, the Zigong Acrobatic Troupe will perform gravity-defying stunts. Schenectady County Historical Society Executive Director Mary Zawacki sa
