SAVANNAH, Ga. (WSAV) — Benedictine Military School's LaDamion Guyton verbally committed to play college football at Texas Tech University on Thursday.
Guyton, a five-star prospect, is rated as the No. 2 player in the country in the class of 2027, according to 247Sports Composite rankings. He is listed as the No. 1 Edge and the No. 1 player in Georgia in the composite rankings.
Guyton made his decision in the Benedictine gym, choosing among Texas Tech, Georgia, Tennessee and South Carolina hats on the table. He also had offers from the likes of Alabama, Florida State, USC, Florida, Miami, LSU, Oregon and more.
Guyton had not named his top schools in consideration before his commitment but only had the four hats at his commitment ceremony to choose from.
