GOODYEAR, Ariz. — The driver involved in a Goodyear crash that injured a group of cyclists, killing two of them, pleaded guilty on Thursday to several misdemeanor offenses.

Pedro Quintana-Lujan appeared in court to enter into a plea agreement, acknowledging his guilt for two counts of causing a death by moving violation and 10 counts of causing an injury by moving violation.

According to the terms of the plea deal, Quintana-Lujan will potentially spend six months in jail, pay a $2,500 fine, spend three years on unsupervised probation and complete 60 hours of community restitution.

The offenses are associated with a crash reported near Cotton Lane Bridge in February 2023 involving a large group of cyclists and a pickup truck driven by Quintana-Lujan.
