Over 32,000 pounds of Navarro pecans were recalled due to possible Salmonella contamination

The Class 1 recall affects products shipped to five U.S. states and three international countries

Consumers are urged not to eat the pecans and to discard any affected products immediately

Consumers in a handful of states are being encouraged to double-check the labels of one pantry staple.

On Friday, Aug. 1, the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) posted a recall with Navarro Pecan Holdings, LLC. The ongoing recall was voluntarily initiated on July 10 by Navarro and has not yet been given a termination notice.
