PHOENIX (AZFamily) — One person has died after an overnight crash on the Loop 202 near Ahwatukee.

Phoenix Police and Arizona Department of Public Safety (DPS) troopers responded to the motorcycle-involved crash around midnight Thursday on the Loop 202 South Mountain eastbound off-ramp at Desert Foothills Parkway.

DPS confirmed one person was killed in this crash.

Along with a damaged motorcycle on the road, several other motorcycles could be seen stopped on the freeway on traffic cameras as first responders arrived.

An Arizona’s Family photojournalist at the scene saw that at least one other person was injured.

There was no information immediately available on what led to the crash. The person who was killed has not been publicly identified.
