LINCOLN SQUARE — Officials are warning neighbors to be on the lookout after two women were groped by a man this week at West Ridge Nature Park.

There have been two incidents this week where a man followed a woman before “inappropriately touching them” at the nature park, 5801 N. Western Ave., according to Ald. Andre Vasquez’s (40th) office.

It is not clear when the incidents happened. Police and Vasquez’s office did not immediately respond to questions about the incidents.

Police are investigating, and police and the Chicago Park District have added surveillance and security presence in the area, Vasquez said in an alert to neighbors.

“Neighbors are encouraged to call 911 if they feel unsafe,” Vasquez said in the alert Thursday.
