USA, — Actor Dean Cain, who portrayed Superman in the 1990s TV series "Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman," said he joined ICE and encouraged others to as well.

In a video posted to social media Tuesday, the well-known conservative touted the "great benefits" of working for the agency.

"For those who don't know, I am a sworn law enforcement officer, as well as being a filmmaker, and I felt it was important to join with our first responders to help secure the safety of all Americans, not just talk about it," Cain said. "So, I joined up."

The former Superman actor's announcement came a day before the Department of Homeland Security removed age limits for new hires. At the time of his post, Cain, 59, was roughly two decades older than the age cap.
