LANSING, Mich. (WILX) - Doppsee, the endangered black rhino at Potter Park Zoo, is showing signs of improvement.

The rare rhinoceros faced a “serious” medical scare last month.

Officials determined Doppsee had an obstruction in her digestive system.

On Wednesday, Potter Park veterinarians performed an endoscopy on the rhino. The team discovered the obstruction was “significantly” smaller.

Caretakers also say Doppseee has showed more interest in eating and drinking, as well as interacting with staff- all signs of improvement.
