KANSAS CITY, Mo. —
A Kansas City man has been sentenced to four years in federal prison for his role in a firearms trafficking conspiracy that supplied illegal weapons to individuals.
Antonio Manning Sr., 23, was sentenced Thursday by U.S. District Judge Beth Phillips to 48 months without parole, followed by three years of supervised release. Advertisement
Manning was also ordered to pay a $11,260 criminal forfeiture judgment.
Manning admitted in April that he conspired to sell firearms to individuals barred under federal law from possessing them.
Prosecutors said at least 22 firearms were trafficked, including several sold to known felons and others illegally converted into machineguns.
Manning also said he was personally responsible for the illegal sale of at least nine firearms.
