DULUTH — The assistant superintendent of schools allegedly had a blood-alcohol concentration of 0.12 when he was stopped by police last month.

Anthony Bonds, 54, was formally charged by citation last week with three misdemeanor counts of impaired driving following his July 21 arrest.

A court filing indicates Bonds was driving a 2024 Honda Passport and that the incident occurred just before 11 p.m. at 119 W. First St. Trooper Sean Hollencamp of the Minnesota State Patrol issued the citation.

No further details have been made public. Low-level offenses are often charged by a citation from the officer, rather than a formal criminal complaint prepared by a prosecutor.
