Dean Cain, known for his role as Superman in the 1990s television series "Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman," has announced his intention to join the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agency. Cain stated he plans to become an ICE agent "ASAP" during an appearance on Fox News with host Jesse Watters.

The 59-year-old actor, who is a vocal supporter of former President Donald Trump, expressed that joining ICE is a way to contribute to the country. He emphasized the importance of stepping up for America, saying, "This is a country built on patriots stepping up, whether it was popular or not."

Cain revealed that he had previously shared a recruitment video for ICE on his social media, which garnered significant attention. "I wasn’t part of ICE, but once I put that out there and you put a little blurb on your show, it went crazy," he explained. He has since spoken with ICE officials and is preparing to be sworn in.

In his recruitment efforts, Cain highlighted the benefits of working for ICE, including a $50,000 signing bonus, student loan repayment options, and enhanced retirement benefits. He claimed that ICE has successfully arrested "hundreds of thousands of criminals, including terrorists, rapists, murderers, and drug traffickers."

Cain also encouraged others to consider joining ICE, stating, "If you want to help save America, ICE is arresting the worst of the worst and removing them from America’s streets."

The actor's announcement comes amid a broader recruitment drive by ICE, which has seen a surge in applications since Trump signed a $150 billion border-security package. An ICE spokesperson noted that there are no longer age restrictions for applicants, stating, "We’ll get you trained and ready to be equipped to go out on the streets and help protect families."

Cain has been a long-time supporter of Trump, having backed him in the 2016, 2020, and 2024 elections. He described Trump as "one of the most empathetic, wonderful, generous people you’ll ever meet."

In addition to his plans with ICE, Cain has voiced criticism of the latest Superman film directed by James Gunn, expressing concerns about its portrayal of the character. He remarked, "How woke is Hollywood going to make this character?" and emphasized the need for limits on immigration, stating, "We can’t have everybody in the United States. Society will fail."

As Cain prepares to join ICE, he remains committed to addressing what he describes as a broken immigration system, urging Congress to take action while supporting the current administration's efforts.
