MONTGOMERY, Ala. ( WSFA ) - A man wanted out of Illinois for predatory criminal sexual assault of a child has been arrested in Montgomery, according to authorities.

CrimeStoppers put out an alert Thursday that 48-year-old James Thomas Meyer was being sought by law enforcement in Winnebago County, Illinois and was believed to be in the Montgomery area.

Thursday afternoon, the agency said the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office had arrested Meyer but did not provide any specific details.
