NEW YORK (PIX11) -- If you purchased snacks or beverages from a vending machine, you may be entitled to part of a $6.94 million class action settlement.

Compass Group USA Inc., doing business as Canteen, has agreed to a settlement to resolve claims that some vending machines charged customers more than the displayed price for items when using debit or credit cards.

The company has not admitted any wrongdoing. A final approval hearing is scheduled for Jan. 9, 2026.

Consumers who used a credit, debit, or prepaid card to make purchases from a vending machine owned by Compass Group USA, doing business as Canteen, between 2014 and July 9, 2025, are eligible.

Class members are expected to receive between $30 and $360, based on the number of purchases they made and the funds available.
