DENVER (KDVR) — State troopers rescued a child from a car being driven by a suspected impaired driver, whose vehicle had a gas nozzle still lodged in it.
In a press release from the Colorado State Patrol on Thursday, the agency said troopers responded to a call on July 29 about a suspected impaired driver heading westbound on Interstate 70 near milepost 328 in Arapahoe County.
The person who called told CSP that a green Volvo station wagon with no license plates and a detached gas pump nozzle hanging from its side had a child in the back seat who was allegedly screaming for help.
The caller also noted "erratic behavior" from the driver, which included teeth grinding and shaking, and suspected the person was under the influence of drugs, CSP said. The caller also said that the Volvo had
