(CNN) - A former Superman actor said he is joining the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement Agency.

Dean Cain is a well-known conservative in Hollywood.

He portrayed Superman in the 1990s television show, “Lois and Clark: The New Adventures of Superman.”

In an interview with Fox News on Wednesday, he revealed he decided to join the agency after sharing one of its recruitment videos on social media.

Cain said he is a sworn deputy sheriff and a reserve police officer, has spoken with ICE officials and will be sworn in as an agent as soon as possible.

Cain described the nation’s immigration system as “broken.” He said President Donald Trump ran on the issue and that he voted for Trump. Cain said he is going to do his part until Congress can fix it.
