A convicted former East Bay law enforcement officer on Thursday lost his bid for an early parole release.
Andrew Hall, a former Danville police officer, shot and killed Laudemer Arboleda during a slow-speed chase in 2018. Hall was sentenced to six years in state prison in March 2022 for assault with a firearm in the killing of an unarmed motorist.
He was then granted an early release in March.
In court Thursday, Hall's attorneys asked to have his parole status cleared so he could become a firefighter. The judge denied his request.
Gigi Crowder, one victim's advocate, addressed the judge in court.
