The Orlando Pride showed signs of rust in a 1-1 home draw against the struggling Utah Royals on Sunday, so the women’s-club-of-the-year nominee knows it has work to do if it wants to catch Kansas City (12-2-0, 36 points) at the top of the NWSL table.

Orlando (8-4-2, 26 points) welcomes Racing Louisville (6-6-2, 20 points) on Saturday night with the chance to make a statement at home.

“We want to bounce back from a disappointing result against Utah. I don’t think it was a bad performance, other than probably the first 20 minutes, and that’s something that we’ve spoken about as a team,” Orlando coach Seb Hines said. “How do we start the game? More on the front foot, more energy, more drive to score that opening goal. But, yeah, it’s gonna be a tough matchup.”
