LAREDO, Tex. (KGNS) - The Laredo City Council is exploring potential solutions to prevent trains from stopping on the tracks and blocking traffic; however, they are facing some challenges.
During a discussion about creating a memorandum of understanding with the railroad company on August 4, a councilmember raised the issue that some engineers are currently in Mexico, which means the city cannot prevent them from stopping the trains.
Another council member discussed alternative solutions, such as building more overpasses, and noted that they will continue to address the issue of traffic interruption.
