ROCHESTER, Minn.- A lottery was held at Aune Hall on Thursday, August 7 for businesses seeking a marijuana microbusiness license in Olmsted County.

After applications opened on June 9, county staff say the pool of potential businesses was whittled down to 11 that would participate in the lottery drawing itself.

There are 8 slots for businesses seeking to open a microbusiness retailer in the county and room for 3 alternates should a business drop out of the process early.

The county decided to randomize its final decision by using a set of bingo tumblers.

The final businesses that were selected included:

Uncle Sam's Hemp

Wildhurst Cannabis

Larsen Gardens LLC

KK Green Discovery LLC

Lakeside Greens
