President Donald Trump said that ex-friend Howard Stern’s radio show “went down” for one very simple reason.

“You know when he went down?” Trump told reporters in the Oval Office, per the New York Post. “When he endorsed Hillary Clinton.”

Said the president, “He lost his audience. People said, ‘Give me a break.’”

Trump said, “He went down when he endorsed Hillary Clinton.”

Stern backed Clinton in her 2016 White House battle with Trump. Trump won the election.

Trump was taking questions from reporters when he was briefed on the uncertainty surrounding Stern, whose five-year, $500 million contract with Sirius XM is winding down.

“Howard Stern is a name I haven’t heard — I used to do his show, we used to have fun — but I haven’t heard that name in a long time,” Trump said Wednesday.
