WSAVSAVANNAH, Ga. (WSAV) — WSAV's Clear the Shelters campaign is officially underway, and Coastal Pet Rescue is just one of the many shelters that need your help.
"If we don't have a place for them to go, we can't take them. And this is, unfortunately, we're having far more requests for intakes than we are for adoptions," Lisa Scarbrough, director and founder of Coastal Pet Rescue, said.
Shelters in our area are continuously being filled with animals every day. Scarbrough said the need is great, and they aren't able to help more animals until they get the ones they have adopted.
"It's unfortunately too much of a need in our area. We just cannot house all of the animals that people are wanting to turn in or the animals that show up loose on the streets or for whatever other reason end up in
