AKRON, Ohio (WOIO) - An Akron couple with untrimmed trees looming over their property and power lines may have some light at the end of the tunnel.

“It’s nothing but weeds and, and all the way around our property... they need to come out and do something about that,“ said Jeanette Thomas. ”Please come out, do your job, take care of your property."

Back in April , she and her husband, Gregory Thomas Sr., told 19 News about the continued issues with the trees bordering their property on East Lods Street in Akron.

The couple says that in 2018, branches took out their power lines, and in 2023, branches from the other side of their fence crushed their shed.

Over the summer, more branches fell on their shed again.

Through it all, they have not been able to get the overgrowth consistently
