Avalon Pier shooting suspect has Aug. 12 Dare County court date

One week from today, on Aug. 12, Henry Hargis, the 16-year-old suspect in the July 31 shooting at Avalon Pier is slated to appear in a Dare County courtroom for a probable cause hearing before Chief District Court Judge Robert Trivette.

While currently at a juvenile facility in Greenville, Hargis, who is being charged as an adult, is accused of First-Degree Murder and Assault with a Deadly Weapon with the Intent to Kill Inflicting Serious Injury.
