DECATUR, Ill. (WAND) — Police in Florida are seeking the public's help in finding a wanted woman and her two-year-old daughter, who are believed to be in Decatur.

Detectives with the Manatee County Sheriff's Office say Courtney Stanley, 27, fled after being accused of a theft in Bradenton, Florida on Tuesday. Stanley's daughter, Amara, was in her vehicle when she sped away from the scene.

The sheriff's office says Stanley knocked over a deputy while evading arrest.

The sheriff's office says the vehicle Stanley fled in was found by Illinois State Police in Decatur on Thursday.

Stanley is wanted on multiple felony warrants. The sheriff's office believes Amara may be in danger due to Stanley's actions.
