SAN FRANCISCO—The San Francisco Fire Department battled two one-alarm fires this week. The first fire transpired on Tuesday, August 5 at 8:34 a.m.

Firefighters responded to a working fire in the 300 block of Arkansas Street. Flames and smoke were present on arrival. Two victims were rescued and transported critical to a local hospital. Fire investigators were called to the scene. The cause of the fire is under investigation.

The other fire, transpired on the 600 block of Noe in SF’s Noe Valley. The fire was extinguished after a passerby called 911 shortly after 6 p.m. The residents were not home at the time of the blaze and nobody was injured. The SFFD did rescue 1 dog, but 1 cat was found deceased. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
