LAMPASAS, Texas — AdventHealth Rollins Brook in Lampasas, Texas, unveiled a new Computed Tomography (CT) scanner on Thursday built to significantly enhance patient care.

According to an AdventHealth press release, the 128-slicer CT scanner will provide high-resolution imagery of internal organs, blood vessels and tissues, as well as decrease the time a typical scan takes, helping patients who experience anxiety while awaiting diagnoses.

“This new CT scanner enhances our ability to detect and diagnose a wide range of conditions, from traumatic injuries to complex diseases such as cancer and cardiovascular disorders," Imaging Director Dietrich Urquhart said. "The improved image quality helps us identify issues earlier and plan more effective treatments.”
