STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. (PIX11) -- A foot washed ashore on Staten Island Tuesday evening, according to police.

It is unclear who the foot belongs to, police said.

Officers received a 911 call for a foot found near Seaview Avenue and Father Capodanno Boulevard.

The 911 caller said there were no other body parts, sources said.

The New York City Office of the Chief Medical Examiner currently has the remains and is attempting to identify the owner of the foot.

Other details remain unclear.
