Deputies confirm seeing a man jump a fence and cut the lock off a storage unit at Big E Storage in Stockton before fleeing in a vehicle.

Deputies say they quickly stopped the vehicle and found Brandon Ellingson and Johnathan King inside, both convicted criminals.

After searching the vehicle, deputies found over $33,000 in stolen property. Items included cash, collectibles, tools and the bolt cutters used in the break-in according to the sheriff's office.

Ellingson is currently on county probation for possessing a stolen vehicle and previously had an active warrant out of San Francisco, the sheriff's office said.
