DENVER (KDVR) — A Jefferson County jury has found a man guilty of multiple counts, including first-degree and second-degree murder, after a robbery in 2023 at a Wheat Ridge jewelry store.
Charles Robinson Shay, 41, was found guilty of 11 counts, including first-degree murder for the death of Peter Damian Arguello, said the Colorado First Judicial District Attorney’s Office in a press release on Thursday.
On Nov. 29, 2023, Arguello, the owner of Peter Damian Fine Jewelry and Antiques, was shot and killed during a robbery at his store near 38th Avenue and Teller Street in Wheat Ridge.
At that time, FOX31 had reported that Wheat Ridge police released photos of the suspect's vehicle, which was believed to be involved in the homicide case.
