BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) -- A woman accused of vandalizing the U.S. flag at the entrance to Hart Park and threatening park rangers, claiming she was standing on "Mexican land," was held to answer Thursday on all charges.

The judge who heard Crystal Aguilar's preliminary hearing determined there was sufficient evidence for the case against her to proceed. She's due back in court later this month so a trial date can be set.

Aguilar, 25, is charged with a felony count of resisting arrest, two misdemeanor counts of resisting arrest, vandalism and battery on a peace officer.

Park rangers encountered Aguilar around 9:30 a.m. on Feb. 6. She had removed the U.S. flag at Hart Park and raised the Mexican flag in its place, according to sheriff’s officials.
