OSHKOSH, Wis. (WBAY) - XRoads41 is back in full swing down in Oshkosh, with the festival expected to take on new challenges this year, such as incoming weather and crowd size.
Organizers say just under 30,000 people visited last year’s inaugural festival, and they feel that number could be doubled this year.
These festival grounds are no strangers to large crowds, having welcomed tens of thousands to Country and Rock USA before COVID.
However, those events faced challenges with muddy grounds and show cancellations when storms did come through.
Organizers say that before last year’s festival, they installed new storm drains to help reduce flooding problems on the grounds.
Even though they did not put these to use last year, they feel well prepared for whatever weather comes their way t
