VENICE, Fla. (WWSB) - Sometimes a good day on the water can go south in a hurry.

Venice Police reported that the Marina Park Boat Ramp next to the Historic Venice Train Depot was closed for a time Wednesday as a Sea Tow Venice and Venice Wrecker worked to remove a truck from the water.

Shortly after 3 p.m., the operators of the pickup were loading a flats boat onto a trailer and said they accidentally shifted the truck into reverse.

Venice Police and Venice Fire Rescue helped with the operation. No one was hurt.
